Sumandeep Vidyapeeth stands as a testimony to the grit, determination, enthusiasm, vision and ”never say die” spirit of Dr. Mansukh Shah, a dentist and a philanthropist, who dared to dream it & translate it into a reality.
Starting with a small clinic, the KM Shah Charitable trust created by him and other benefactors has slowly metamorphosed into a health care and education centre which can pride itself as one amongst the best in the country.
Today all the constituent colleges of this “Deemed to be University” have carved a niche for themselves.
MBBS is taught at Smt. B. K. Shah Medical Institute & Research Centre which is located inPo Piparia, Ta Waghodia, Dist Vadodara, Gujarat, which is a rural area.
Smt. B.K. Shah Medical Institute & Research Centre was granted permission by Medical Council of India & Government of India on 30th September 2003 with intake capacity of 150 Medical Students. At the time of inception the college was affiliated to Gujarat University. On 17th January 2007 Deemed University status was awarded to the University.
Students are admitted on the basis of All India Entrance Test conducted by Sumandeep Vidyapeeth.
Dhiraj hospital, affiliated to the college, was established in year 2002 and at present has developed into 1360 bedded tertiary care teaching hospital with state of art facilities.
There is 1 paper for Physics, Chemistry & Biology which carries 200 questions. There are 65 questions each from Physics & Chemistry and 70 questions from Biology.
Examination is Multiple Choice type with 4 options for 1 question.
Each question carries 1 mark. There is no negative marking.
Duration of exam is 3 hours
(a) Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of his/her admission.
(b) Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology / Biotechnology 11th & in 12th grade from any recognized Board of India. English should be another core subject.
In case of candidates from OBC/SC/ST category minimum PCB percentage should be 40%.
Registration starts – April 2016
Date of Examination – 4th week of May 2016.
