The Pravara Medical Trust is the parent organization of the University and was established in 1972 in a small village Loni of Ahemadnagar District of Maharashtra by a visionary Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil – the founder of Co-operative movement in India.

In 1976 the Trust started providing primary & secondary level medical care with establishment of a modest hospital of 100 beds and over the period the hospital has grown to a 800 bed multi-disciplinary, super-speciality medical institute with the state of the art facilities.

The University is unique in more than one way. It is specialized in Medical & Health Sciences with a dedication to serve the society as a Centre of Excellence with emphasis on socially meaningful medical education, health care and research.

The trust has received accolades from His Excellency Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Former President of India for the pioneer work done in the field of integrated rural development and appreciated the participative model ofIntegrated Rural Development followed at Loni as a Role Model for the development of Rural India and has been referred by His Excellency as operated model of PURA – Providing Urban Amenities to the Rural Area.

The Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences – Deemed University has the same status as that of other statutory Universities in India. The degrees, diplomas and certificates awarded have approval of Government of India, Government of Maharashtra and other states as well as University Grants Commission (UGC), Medical council of India (MCI), Dental Council of India (DCI) etc.

For admission into their MBBS, BDS programs the Institute every years conducts this All India Common Entrance Test to select candidates on merit basis.

Examination Pattern

There is 1 paper for Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology There will be 50 questions in each subject i.e. a total of 00 questions.

Examination is Multiple Choice type with 4 options for 1 question.

Each question carries 1 mark. There is no negative marking.

Duration of exam is 3 hours.

Eligibility Criteria

(a) Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of his/her admission.

(b) Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology / Biotechnology 11th & in 12th grade from any recognized Board of India. English should be another core subject.

Registration starts – February 2016

Last Date of Submission – Last week of March 2016

Date of Examination – 1st week of May 2016.

Declaration of Results – 1st week of June 2016.
