NEET Age Relaxation Petition dismissed by Supreme Court of India

The Supreme Court has dismissed NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) petition which was filed by a group of petitioners asking for age relaxation, which was fixed to 25 years by CBSE.

NEET is a National Level Entrance Exam conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education for admission to various Health Science related courses like MBBS, BDS etc.

According to the present rules the upper age limit for General candidates is 25 years and 30 years in case of candidates from OBS/SC/ST categories.

Age limit is also relaxed for 30 years for candidates entitled for reservation under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

NEET 2018 will be held on 2018 and from this year NEET has also been made mandatory for MBBS abroad.

Every year many Indian students go to study MBBS abroad, as there are limited MBBS seats in India an they prefer MBBS in Europe as it is more cost effective to study there than in Private Medical Colleges of India.
