CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has announced that The National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test (NEET)- CBSE NEET 2018 also known as NEET UG 2018 for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in the various Government & Private Medical Colleges in India will be held on May 6, 2018.
Interested students can register online for the entrance exam which will be held all over India.
The last date for registration is 09 March, 2018.
Further, from this year CBSE has made Aadhar number compulsory for all candidates except from those from Assam, Jammu and Kashmir and Meghalaya and the applicants must will have to give their consent to the CBSE to verify the same.
In case of any mismatch in the Aadhaar number, name, date of birth and gender, the candidates will not be able to fill up the form.
Lower age limit for a candidate to be eligible for MBBS/BDS course admission is 17 years plus as on 31st December, 2018 where as the upper age limit is 25 years with a relaxation of 5 years for OBC/SC/ST candidates and for candidates eligible for admission under under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016.
A candidate must have passed subjects physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology and English and obtained a minimum of 50 per cent marks taken together in physics, chemistry and biology/ biotechnology to be eligible to apply.
Candidates belonging to SC/ ST and OBC category who have obtained 40 per cent marks in physics, chemistry and biology/ biotechnology taken together will be eligible.
