Admission process for MBBS & BDS has still not started in Tamil Nadu whereas as per the directives of the Supreme Court of India the admission process is to be completed by 31st August 2017.
There are 32 Medical Colleges in Tamil Nadu including 10 Private and nearly 49,000 students have applied for 3,300 seats in the state.
Everywhere else in India the 1st phase of counseling has been completed and dates announce for 2nd phase. But in Tamil Nadu the Government is trying to take exemption from NEET. Even the merit list has not been published till date,
Medical aspirants from the state are all confused and are rushing for MBBS Abroad.
If a quick decision is not taken the State may end up wasting MBBS seats this year if admissions are not completed by 31st August. If they need this date tobe extended then the Tamil Nadu Government will have to approach the Supreme Court.
MBBS Admission abroad also close by end of August and students from the state have to take a quick decision – to wait or go for study MBBS abroad.
