About NEET 2019
From 2019, NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) will be conducted by the newly constituted National Testing Agency (NTA).
It is mandatory to qualify in NEET to be eligible for MBBS admission in India or abroad.
Admissions to the various Medical courses in India (MBBS, BDS, AYUSH) in various Government & Private Medical Colleges in India will be conducted through the merit list of NEET.
However, for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament e.g. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry – NEET score will not be considered for MBBS admission.
Admission to AIIMS & JIPMER will be through the merit list of their own entrance exam.
The responsibility of NTA (National Testing Agency) is limited to conduct the entrance exam, declaration of results and providing the All India Rank to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India for the conduct of counselling for 15% All India Quota seats.
NTA will also provide the result to State / other Counselling Authorities.

The last date to fill NEET 2019 Application Form with payment of online application fee will be in March 2019.
NEET 2019 Syllabus will be available in the Information Bulletin.
All interested candidates can apply only online on the NTA NEET 2019 NTA website.
Candidates should not make any mistake in filling NEET 2019 Application form, otherwise they will be rejected.
NEET 2019 by National Testing Agency
The newly constituted National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducted NEET in 2019 for the first time.
In a Press release, NTA has announced that:
NEET 2019 pattern will be same as before – it will not be computer based as announced earlier.
NEET 2019 will be conducted in pen & paper mode.
NEET 2019 will be conducted only once – i.e. on 5th May, 2019.
Syllabus and examination pattern will remain the same as previous years.
Syllabus includes the whole of Class 11 and 12 standard NCERT textbooks in the respective subjects.
Exam duration will be of 3 hours.
Biology section will have 90 questions and Physics & Chemistry section will have 45 questions each.
Four (4) marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
One (1) mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Unanswered questions will not have negative marking.
Online application for NEET 2019 will start from 01 November, 2018 on the official website of National Testing Agency – NTA DOT AC DOT IN.
UPDATE: 11 October, 2018
NTA has announced that there will be no change in Syllabus for the NEET exam which will be conducted on 05 May, 2019.
