MBBS Admission News 2017: Maharashtra
NEET 2017 Merit List to be released today in Maharashtra
Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER) Maharashtra will publish the provisional merit list of NEET 2017 today and based on this list admissions will be given to candidates for MBBS and BDS course 85% state quota in the Government & Private Medical Colleges of Maharashtra.
Physical verification of documents will start from 14th July 2017 and DMER has sent up 4 centers for this purpose. These centers are:
1. Grant Government Medical College, Sir J.J. Hospital Campus, Byculla, Mumbai
2. B.J. Government Medical College, Pune
3. Government Medical College, Aurangabad
4. Government Medical College, Nagpur
Though DMER has still not announced the complete schedule for NEET MBBS Admission Counselling for this year, the revised provisional merit list will be announced on 24th July and candidates will be given 4 days to submit their choice of medical colleges for admission.
NEET 2017 was conducted by CBSE and from Maharashtra only 1 student – Abhishek Dogra from Pune could make it to Top 25 candidates in India. He scored 691 marks out of 720 and has an All India Rank of 5.
Like any other state there are very few seats for MBBS in Maharashtra and many students from the state opt for MBBS from Abroad after failing to get admission here.
