TAMIL NADU – Uncertainity Looms Over NEET 2017 Merit List



Chennai High Court has stayed release of list NEET 2017 Merit List for admissions to MBBS & BDS courses.

This delay in the release of the merit list has created more confusion

Counselling for 15% All India Quota seats starts on 13 July 2017 whereas the matter will come up for hearing on 14th July 2017.

The parents of a student, who had cleared NEET with over 300 marks, are still hoping that the State government would stick to its schedule and release the merit list.

There are only 3,080 seats for MBBS in Tamil Nadu whereas more than 50,000 students from the appeared for NEET 2017 which was conducted by CBSE.

Amid this confusion many students and parents are visiting MBBS abroad consultants as they do not wish to drop a year.

Every year thousand of students from Tamil Nadu have to take a decision of doing MBBS from abroad due to limitation of seats and popular countries which they choose for MBBS abroad include Kyrgyzstan, Russia, China and Ukraine.
