MBBS Admission 2017 Latest News

MBBS Admissions through middleman or agents will be cancelled – Medical Council of India (MCI) officials say

According to rules of MBBS admissions in India, a candidate has to secure a position in the merit list of MBBS to be eligible for admission in India.

But there are many agents or so called education consultants who advertise in newspapers or send SMS to students who have qualified NEET that they can get MBBS admission in India by paying donation. The donation amount varies from Rs. 10 lac to Rs. 1 crores.

These agents claim they know the private medical college authorities directly.

MCI had last year cancelled 519 admissions from 37 MBBS colleges after it found out that these students skipped counselling process and colleges gave them admission directly.

These students are now fighting a court battle to legalise their admissions. Further there is no Management quota after NEET has been introduced.

MCI has warned students that they should not fall in this trap.

A few MBBS abroad consultants said that every year they get many students who have been cheated by false promises and these students later end up taking admissions for MBBS in abroad.

Studying MBBS abroad is cost effective, degree is well respected as foreign Government Medical Universities approved by MCI in countries like China, Ukraine, Russia,, Kyrgyzstan admit Indian students every year.
