Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET)
Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) is a competitive entrance exam conducted by Centralized Admission Division, Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa.
On the basis of merit list of this test, candidates are selected for admission into MBBS, BDS, Nursing, Engineering etc.
For MBBS & BDS there are 150 & 40 seats respectively at Goa Medical College, Bambolim.
For MBBS – three separate exams are conducted – one each for Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
Each exam has 75 questions which are to be answered in 2 hours.
Each question carries 1 mark. There is no negative marking.
(a) Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of his/her admission.
(b) Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology in 12th grade from Goa Board.
In case of SC/ST/OBC candidates they should have secured minimum 40%.
Availability of Application Forms – 15th March till 31st March 2016.
Issuance of Admit Card –April 2016.
Date of Examination – May 2016.
Declaration of Results – May 2016.
