About CMC Ludhiana

According to the Constitution of the Christian Medical College Ludhiana Society (Regd.), the Christian Medical College, Ludhiana is an educational and research institution of an all India character established and run by the minority Christian community. It’s primary aim is to educate & train Christian men & women as health professionals, in the spirit of Jesus Christ for the healing ministry of the Church in India. However, like many other Christian educational institutions this college also offers educational facilities to other young men & women irrespective of religion, caste & community.

Through education in this College the Christian Church seeks to make a significant contribution to the health standards of all communities of our nation with special emphases on health care in the rural underserved and unreached areas/communities in India.
The College maintains a 775 bed hospital.
CMC is recognized by the Medical Council of India and since July 1999 is affiliated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab.

Examination Pattern

CMC Ludhiana conducts a Computer Based Test (CBT).

There is one exam of 2.30 hours and there are 50 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Zoology & Botany) & General Aptitude.

All questions will be multiple type with 4 choices each. The test is designed to measure knowledge and understanding of subject matter. The test also measures the reasoning, problem solving and analytical ability of the applicant. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

Bible Test for Christian applicants is also held the same day after the main test.

Bible Test will also be a Computer Based Test and is of Objective type with 50 questions, based on facts from the Holy Bible (English Language only).

A mock test will be available at for candidates to familiarize themselves with the pattern of the Computer Based Test to be held in May 2016. It is recommended that every candidate take this mock test which will be available from the first week of April.

Eligibility Criteria

(a) Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of his/her admission.

(b) Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology in 12th grade.

In case of SC/ST/OBC candidates they should have secured minimum 40%.

(c) Candidate should have studies Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English in Class 12th.
